Chris Lake Erie is a lake that looks like a mud puddle.:D:D

Pond is much more appropriate and has a upscale appeal over puddle. I moved from the land of 10,000 lakes to the land of 10,000 people on my street block (NYC). I envy your space and dreams. Good luck!

Ole fashioned watering hole. Where's the cement pond going to be?

I really like the area you are in. We are purchasing a house right now, but could not find one in the country like that. I wish I was so lucky.

If you're moving into a house with your family you automatically have a "home" and that is really all that matters. We're in what I consider our "starter home" right now and we are moving into what I would call our "second starter home".

In terms of square footage, we're not really upgrading. This new home just makes better use of the space the way that we would use it. We gain walk-in closets, larger bathrooms, larger bedrooms, etc but we lose a walkin laundy room, media room, and other space we don't really utilize.

It's all about lifestyle really. It's an upgrade for us in terms of fitting better with our lifestyle but in terms of $$$ - not much will change. We're just giving up some things we dont use for some things we will.

Kristiy,

In P.C. terms... it is in fact a pond. Apparently a body of water like this created by man, and one that is landlocked is a pond and one that is created by god and fed by other bodies of water is a lake.

I can accept these terms if we have to be P.C. but didn't god create the man who created that "pond"?

I am looking forward to this "lake" :D

Sorry, Big Bank Hank. If you would like to send me some additional funds I would gladly purchase the surrounding land and carve out a bigger lake (Read: pond). I hate to disappoint.

Ben,

This bad boy is already on order. I'll try to keep it moving as quickly as possible but I hope the skier has good balance. :D

A LAKE is fed by another body of water, a pond is not. See that little tail end of it? That's a CREEK! :D

I have named it Lake Miller :D Wait till you see my jet skiing pictures ;)
