An adult book store and sex toy shop called our office looking to have their logo imprinted on sex toys. I've done a pretty exhaustive search including calling a friend with 30 years in the ad spec industry but the only thing I've been able to find are imprinted condoms. Anyone run into this most unusual situation and find a soultion?

I honestly don't know of anyone who offers adult toys but you may want to look into the wholesalers who sell to the adult shops. You could always try to buy from them and then hire a contract decorator to do the decorating.
I'd watch for possible liability with the inks and such. You may need to look into special ink for an application like this because of possible health issues.

Chris is right, I wouldn't touch it. Health issues are huge. No liability insurance could cover enough. Offer something like a custom mouse pad showing their favorite toys. Or a custom calendar showing a collage of toys.

Sounds like a fun client to have. I would only act as acontract decorator in this application. Let your client supply the item, and have them sign away there life for insurance purposes. There are many good decorators who us pad printing method. However you might run into ethical issues with the decorator. They might not want to offend there staff who would be handling the item. Personally there are better ways to make money. I would stay away from an account like this.

I know that there are suppliers that have condoms... that's one sourse.
Also you can offer calendars (not with toys pics but with models) V4S has mini press-n-stick calendars with topless models and hot guys. Or you can do it customized with their copyrighted released pictures. Mugs in boobies style (have you seen them?)
Also remember that the imprint shouldn't be on the toy itself, not only for the ink issues, but because I think if I'm having fun I don't want to see that logo all the time THERE! The logo may be printed in some of the controls the toys have, that way we get rid of the health issues.
And yes..... that will be a very fun customer to deal with.

Stephen,
Our company does contract printing if your customer has the products. If they don't have the items our sister company is a adult novelty wholesaler and we can provide you a catalog of over 3000 items. The only issue would be inks. If they want something silicone...forget it. But otherwise we could definitely help you out.

Okay here are some ideas....Contact a chocolate company and see if they will do a jar of chocolate with a paint brush with the clients name on it. Then the company with the can cover is Getagadget Inc and their phone is 800.356.8212. If they do decide that they want condoms I would recommend calling Trojan or one of the other major manufacturers directly.
Good Luck.
