There is an eps file on Brands of the World here Try importing the file into your software you can click on it and you'll be able to figure it out by looking at the color palette.

Uhmmmm....
How 'bout calling Hewlett-Packard... and ask them.

Use PMS Uncoated 287. This is not an EXACT match but it is so close I can not tell a difference,

A lot of time you can look at the CMYK formulation of the logo and back into the equivilant PMS.

If you have a vector image of the logo you can click on it in Corel & it will tell you the pms color. If you dont have Corel , email it to me & I will do it.

Wow! Automatic convert CMYK or RGB to Pantone Spot? Not to wander off the inital posted topic, but that's the second nice feature I would like to see in Adobe Illustrator. (The first is that plug-in that lets you come up with simulated embroidery files.)

I've been in litho for 40 years. We have a HP plant within 25 miles and around here the color is "HP blue"... a special mix. Call up a local printer and ask them.
BTW... HP is very particular about their blue.

I can just see the conversation. Designer says "you don't need any of those 3 million PMS blues. You need an exclusive HP blue that I will charge you $50,000 to develop." No mention will be made of the additional thousands of dollars that it will add to every print job they run.

Ad Agencies are very big into this too. "Olgilvy Red" and "BBDO Blue" are particular favorites.
