Kolder, Edinburg, Texas, recently announced its acquisition of Kaufman, Texas-based supplier NUMO Manufacturing.

â??This is a wonderful opportunity for us all, and I believe the combination of Kolder/NUMO will greatly benefit our promotional product distributors,â? said Charlie Meyer, Kolderâ??s president and CEO.

Kolder is a privately held company currently in its 25th year of business. The company primarily manufactures neoprene beverage insulators and soft-sided ice chests for both the ad specialty and retail markets.

Founded in 1962 as the Numismatic Manufacturing Company, NUMO initially manufactured and resold a series of bank supply items including stamps, desk nameplates and coins. Since then, NUMO has expanded its product offerings to include a line of beverage insulators, ceramics, glassware, floor mats and four-color process printing.

â??Although Kolder is already an established player in the promotional products industry, we have no plans to retire the NUMO name,â? noted Meyer. â??The company is prepared to exhibit at more than 100 promotional product shows this year and is experiencing remarkable growth.â?

Michael Hicks, former president of NUMO, has been asked to stay on as the companyâ??s national sales manager. For the time being, both companies will continue to operate as separate entities. All existing distributor programs and price structures will remain intact.

It is projected that the addition of NUMO will result in combined revenues of $35 million.

18 months later...Do you still use Numo and Kolder or have you looked for a new supplier.

What affect did the buyout have on your dealings with the 2 companies?
Remember to thank the person who made you a hero today!!

At first, we had issues with poor communication and delivery. Then we learned to ask for Heather Gaines, and ever since orders are handled well.
I think overall orders are going more smooth at Numo, now that they have had time to adjust to the merger.
