I have over 70 sales associates. We are all independent agents, selling for K & B. I support and train my associates, offer assistance with product searches, and provide them with lots of resources for getting started.
I put my 20 years experience at their disposal and welcome their questions.
Most of my associates are only part-time, but their volume, added to the full-time career salespeople amounts to some great volume. :)

We have 600 account executives in the US and 200 in Europe. I love this forum, because I have always been with a top ten distributor, and this gives a great insight to the way smaller distributors think and operate.
I have a great deal of respect for the many models of busines in our industry.

LOL K&B, Lee Wayne, Thatâ??s like selling your soul to the devil! You can start your own distributorship with less money then what it takes to start a Jimmy Johns! Donâ??t do the 50/50 when you could get 100% on your own. If you have a good computer then you can do great things in this business.

Chad you are entitled to your opinion, but the 65% of the profits I recieve (not the 50/50 you posted) had been quite generous from my viewpoint. The service they provide has been well worth it for me. On top of that, allowing me to build my own group of associates and rewarding me for sponsoring, training, and assisting them, has provided me an excellent income through the long understood business principle of Leveraging.
I am duplicating myself everytime I sponsor another dealer, rookie or established professional. The rookies benefit from having an established sales professional at no cost to them.
While it may appear to be selling your soul to the devil to you, my switch from another distributor to K & B was a dream come true. Some times the grass really is greener on the other side of the fence.

There are those who've had the world handed to them on a silver platter, and it seems that they're usually the first ones to brag about how good it is to be them. If only they knew what it was like to start from scratch without the help of friends and family, an existing business, existing clientele, etc. If only it were so easy for everyone - there'd be noone left to run all the other businesses out there. They'd all be doing what we're doing.

That's one of the great benefits of this industry Chad. Each individual can conduct their business the way it suits them best.
I certainly wouldn't have dreamed it would work out so well for my family when I started my business on a part-time basis nearly 21 years ago.
Best of luck to you as well.

Does anyone have contracts for their empolyees? I am hiring a new employee and want them to be contract, but do not know what type of contract employee. Can anyone enlighten me to the most common type in the promo products industry?
