I'm starting to get a some visitors and inquiries from outside the US, and I really don't want to deal with the exchange rate, the distance, etc.

My site at http://www.bigpromotions.net is a Google Page Rank 5 - I'd be happy to do a geo-redirect based on the country the visitor is coming from. The user will be sent to a page of links to other distributors in other countries.

Check that page rank at http://www.checkpagerank.com . From what they tell me, a page rank of 5 is supposed to be pretty good.

First one to reply gets it. Tell me where you want the link to point to.

The biggest problem with Canadians who find you is that they would likely expect US prices....Regrettably by the time you deal with duty, brokerage and shipping they are usually ticked off at the prices they are quoted...I have had numerous referrals from US distributors and never made a sale....RCS...

Hey Royce,

I would recommend that your customer cover the shipping portion with ther own shipping account #. This way, the customer can deal with the shipping issues and your left counting your money.:D

It does not matter who pays the costs, they still have to be paid....It is the final number that gets them cranky....I usually tell clients to expect to pay 35% to 50% higher than the US price by the time all charges are paid...RCS...

PS....I would never expect a supplier to ship on another account....They have systems in place to make everything efiicient, however, when you throw them a loop by trying to do it diffently it decreases that efficiency....I have no problem with a supplier shipping on their terms....

Point Well Taken. Our Policy Is That You The Customer Get To Choose With Regards To The Shipping. I Didn't Know That Other Suppliers Gave You No Options With Regards To Shipping. Thanks For The Info.

I think most suppliers do give you an option but perhaps that is not the best idea.....What time does UPS pickup at your location? With major shippers they can get pickups as late as 11PM....Perhaps they even have the UPS trailer sitting at their dock all day and they load it as products come out of the shipping department....Now I want to ship DHL or Fedex...They have to make a special effort to handle that request...That package costs far more to handle than the others that they just load by the skid on to a waiting trailer....RCS....

This is all very interesting. Maybe I need to ask somewhere else. I need:

1. A Canadian Distributor with a better than average page rank to swap links.
2. A Mexican Distributor with a better than average page rank to swap links.
