:)Well, we create imprinted table covers... fabric banners... but that is mostly self-promotion (sorry if this appears as a blatant self-plug). Perhaps "hi tech" LED flashlights? They're good for safety-oriented and techy applications

You may want to focus on the message rather than the product. Can you/they design some clever ad copy for a tote showing how important a good measure is: or some kind of fact:
maybe 1/1000th in big letters and under it
Means the difference between Success (a new engine)
And Failure: a broken engine
or something like that
another idea is a Magic Mug from Numo or Worldwide where the image changes: Outside copy: How Important is Accuracy? show a picture of Something made poorly then add coffee to reveal: something made accurate
hope this helps , bring them 2 or 3 blank promo items and then
have a brainstorming session with them, it could be a lot of fun
Also, what is the point they want to make, what do they want their clients or prospects to know about them?
I think this would really be a fun project to work on
good selling

Templatemaker, has stock and can do custom templates:

BizPins can do a custom Lanyard for the show, like one of their soft rubber styles that are remembered well after .
also a smudge away for the cell phone, that will also carry many impressions well after the event
good luck!

At Jornik we have a lot of trade show items. To get a specific promotional item that meets your clients profile I would suggest the Precision Oiler: http://www.jornik.co...=cat&prod_id=53
It is perfect for your audience and client. Every one of their clients can use this and look forward to getting these little Precision Oilers.
If you want other suggestions please call me at the office tomorrow

Two items you might think about are engineering and architectural rulers from Woodrow and safety glasses straps from Chums
