Top Secrets, Like many other training courses offered at the shows and at the PPAI bookstore are all worth it if you do what the course tells you to do.

In this industry, Anyone that can learn and is willing to study and work hard can make a very good living. Can make as much money as your ambitions will take you.
Creativity has no limits. I know a fellow that never went beyond selling Rubber Bands,
Sell 5 Million Dollars of Rubber bands a year. Or anything, You are doing OK.

Yes, Yes and yes
and the monthy TeleConference is great along with the Discussion & Mastermind Group.

Go for it, as David Blaise says:

"Here is My Guarantee,

My Promise to You...

Test Drive Top Secrets Risk-Free in Your Business for One Full Year... If it Doesn't Generate at Least Ten Times its Cost in Additional Sales or Bottom Line Savings,
I Don't Want You to Keep It!"

That's right. Get Top Secrets now and implement the strategies risk-free in your business for one full year. If, at the end of that time, you have not made or saved at least ten times the cost of the system, as a direct result of the recommendations made in the system, simply return Top Secrets and we'll refund 100% of your purchase price (less freight).

There are no secrets to selling promotional products.
Never has been and never will be.

In case you're not aware of our free sales training site, here's the link: http://www.sellpromoproducts.com. I created site three years ago to
help distributors sell more.

I'll compare my bio to David's anyday. I dare say he hasn't sold more than $10 Million worth or products at an average profit margin of 43%. I have!

Don,

I think you might be wise to keep your solicitation to a minimum in this forum. This is not the place for you to directly sell your stuff or promote yourself - Promopens asked a specific question about a specific product/service. If he had asked what else is out there, that is different, but he did not. I suspect you will receive a few PMs from others.

I get Don Sanders info at www.sellpromoptoducts.com on a regular basis. FREE ...Very solid info. Follow it and you will make a bunch of money.

I learned how to sell and manage at New York Life and John Hancock Ins. Companies.
Don is right, There are no Secrets. There is a sales "Process." Learn the sales process and you can sell anything.

I don't think there are many approaches to selling, from Preparing for the interview,
Making the presentations, Answering the objections, And Closing the sale that I havent learned. And taught.
Don Sanders materials Remind me to not try to take short cuts and sell the way I was taught. Allow the process to work for you,

I have David Blaise's basic sales kit. It is a well organized approach to the sales process. I have put 3 salespeople through his program. Unfortunatly, They didn't follow the steps and ultimely failed in this sales industry. Not David's courses fault. Their fault...They didn't want it bad enough.

Unless YOU make the COMMITTMENT to succeed. No training will work.

My Advise, Make the Committment to yourself, Your Family, And this industry. Then invest in training materials to make Yourself a better Salesperson. Go Get It...If You want it.

I attended an ASI workshop with David Blaise when I started out in this business and immediately bought the Top Secrets of Promotional Products Sales. It has been a tremendous resource for me. I continue to use several of their programs to keep me on track. Of course, so much of a sales approach depends upon what is comfortable for you.

I did purchase the Top Secrets, and got the weekly email. I stopped the weekly email after a short time, as there was nothing substantive about it, and was rather more solicitations for buying more product. The CDs were useful, but no more useful than any other tool, or rather, anything that gets you focused on improving yourself. I agree with the previous posts that the sales process is where your attention should lie; there are no secrets regarding the products.

I say yes it is worth it, granted there are no real secrets to anything, and I agree that your success is in direct proportion to the amount of work and effort you put into it, but saying that Top Secrets has been a help to me see some things I may not have, and if you do follow the program and its work books you should be more successful than if you just went out there without it. If you can afford it then buy it, or go to the aforementioned free site and get some info from them.

I would disagree with Mike Betts. Every part of life is about promotion.
Distributors who realize this fact are the ones who make the money.

But I think you are missing the point. You are directly promoting your service in a thread that was not asking about your service, but specifically about someone elses service. There is a place for your message, but I do not think it is in this thread. I think you will find that most of the people here would agree with me.

Dale,
When I first learned the sales process and began sellin, I was very uncomfortable with
the whole orginized sales approach.. I had to learn the system in order to be successful.
I had to change, What I wanted didn't matter. Drawing out of the prospect exactly what They needed, Then convince them to invest in advertising, Ins etc.

We need to accept the training if it is to work. The presentations work. It is just like walking down a flight of steps....Miss a couple steps, We have a problem..

Mike,
I do not agree with you. Don Sanders is a very qualified teacher and speaker and dedicated to showing us how to sell Millions of Dollars of advertising at 42 plus % GP.
That is what this Forum is about.

I also agree that this is a perfect spot for Don to indicate an alternate option. The point of discussion is sales training. I very well might have replied 'Top Sales' didn't work for me, but Don Sanders did, and it would have been a valid thread reply. You are taking exception to his being a self serving reply, but it is a valid reply offering an option, especially a free option.

Agreed, but not this specific thread. The original question was specifically about "www.topsecretswebsite.com" and feed back on this program. If he had said "I want to learn, does anyone know of any programs out there to help me?" then it would be more appropriate for Don to mention that he has a program that could help. However, even here he does not just do that, he proceeds to tell everyone how much better he is than David Blaise: "I'll compare my bio to David's anyday. I dare say he hasn't sold more than $10 Million worth or products at an average profit margin of 43%. I have!"

Coupeld, these two things make me think that it is inappropriate for this specific thread.

I have the series of CD's by Davis Blaise, and listen to them over and over. They are pricey, but are good. However, much of what he says, I have heard from other sources as well that were a fraction of the cost. His info is good, but not necessarily worth the price. The "secrets" really aren't secrets, but good solid sales techniques that all sales people can benefit from.

I did find some information useful however, most of my sales are by internet and telephone. I don't make any in-person presentations any longer... so a program that emphasizes phone, internet, e-mail skills would appeal to me more... as others have said, most of the sales info he offers is available for less or even free...

Nipper,
Due to health reasons, I also do most of my sales from my office. I do however, Have to teach new recruits the basics. I try to be aware of any training material that will work for me.

It takes years of relationship building to be able to do this. My assistant takes care of the paper work and some chasing. I mail a ton and am involved in many groups where I can meet the bosses and managers of companies. I prospect from the top down.
That works for me.....tea
