We also use simplycast, which is a great service, but they don't provide a list. We can only use our own.
Are there any other e-blast companies out there that allow you to use their own list?

Thank you for starting this topic because we have also been looking lately at these services. I have no first hand experience but we are currently leaning heavily toward Promo-Cast which has been highly recommended to me by another supplier. I spoke to one of their reps or customer service people and left impressed but we haven't pulled the trigger yet. SendOffers is another I've checked out...
I think we will probably make a decision next week.
Can you briefly tell me how their pricing works?

PromoBroadcast
ASI
SAGE
Eight-Legged Media
There's also PromotionCorner - not sure if they are connected to one of the others
VirtualWebTradeshow - also not sure if those blasts are a part of other services you must buy too
There are also the people who have mailing lists of distributors, and they provide more of a newsletter or focused marketing approach:
Don Sanders - SellPromoProducts.com
Jeff Solomon - FreePromoTips.com
Each email blast service is going to have their pros & cons.
- Some will require you participate with other services or charges (e.g. membership, listings, etc.)
- Some can provide you with graphic services to create your ads, and you should compare those costs too.
- Some say they are optimized for mobile devices, which is basically the size of the ad will fit on the smaller screens and the links are positioned so we distributors can get to them on the smaller screens.
Every service will tell you they have a high number of opens or click links. I think if I were a supplier I'd talk with other suppliers who might be selling to the same category of distributor. Not competitors, but those who sell to either the same region or the same buying level as your target distributor. Find out who they use, and why they think the blasts are successful. Can they tell you of specific ads that were successful - for example, those that they could directly relate to a good response, versus a just general set of blasts they always send?

You create an account for free and then purchase credits which entitle you to single blasts. You can buy greater quantities of credits for less money. I have written down that 12 blasts were $1850 and 3 were $750. There were other breaks. I think the rep I spoke to said something about them building you a custom template if you purchased 12 or more. I'm not sure if their other design-related services cost extra or how they would be charged because I knew from the start we'd be doing ours in house.
If you create an account there you can see the full pricing structure. Their reps may contact you but they haven't harassed me - I think it was only the one initial call.
