And They Say Distributors Are Dumb

I called and asked what the minimum order was and was told he would have to check as he was not sure.
Wait it gets better. Below is the response I got when I asked for the print area on the mug.
I have contacted our printer to ask. He is unable to specify an area without seeing the logo you plan to use. If you could provide me with the artwork of your logo, I could provide it the printer along with the size of the mug and he would be able to better estimate the room.
Is this not unbelievable.:confused::confused:

Also agree... but I'm not joking. I'd bet money you are dealing with a distributor. If so, what does that make you? :)

Always vocal - please check facts before accusing as you have advised me many times. :eek:
This is not a distributor it is the supplier end of the company in Canada as we were directed by the US supplier. The US company will not sell us as the company who gave me the answer has the license in Canada.

Allan it is not a matter of hanging someone but Jim insulted me in an open forum. Jim has always told everyone to make sure of the facts before you post something and I feel he did not. IMO
Always cool eh.:)

I have no idea what that means when you say they are the Canadian supplier end of a US company. I don't care which country you are dealing with, but what they told you is not what any supplier would state. Is it possible the Canadian license holder is just a front end & all production/customer service is still provided in the US? Could they simply be acting like a rep that controls the Canadian market?

They have aquired the franchise (in Canada) for a US product. They bring the product in blank and then pad print it here in Canada. The operation is extremely Mickey Mouse.
Jim you were wrong insulting me in an open forum without knowing the facts, you love an argument but sometimes you are just wrong. It has nothing to do with being a dumb distributor as the comment was made directly to me.
Sometimes putting a smiley beside what you say does not make it right.

If you notice, the only facts you gave were the snippets of conversation between you & your "supplier". That is all any of us had to work on. What other facts did you want me to verify? What few facts you gave us made the "supplier" sound like a distributor.
Dude, you need to chill & learn to recognize a joke from an insult. It was you that brought up the statement about distributors being dumb... I just carried on from there. Many times Chris has stated about how many "dumb" distributors are out there. About how they want to order from his website, thinking he is a supplier.
