I guess flying out of Philadelphia is an option, but that really adds some time. Seems like no matter what I do, I can't get out at the end of the show & would have to waste another day traveling. I sure like leaving the day the show closes as spending another night sure hurts any ROI.
Any tricks some of y'all use?

It's my understanding that the people behind Promotions East (I'm just an unpaid shill for the show!) are working on getting information circulated about transportation options.

Never done the train, but have seen the station at the convention center.

There are shuttles or car rentals from Newark and it's a little over 2 hrs drive. Having a car gives you lots of options for your hotel choice (Courtyard is a few blocks, but there is local bus also). I would imagine that you could also drop ship your booth materials in or fly with it and the drayage saving may offset car rental.
Promotions East staff, volunteers and all of the Regionals that support the event do an outstanding job . . and the food including a visit to White House subs makes the event even more memorable.

Philly works better for me flying from Memphis. I can go nonstop there.
Might consider the van shuttle but think I might enjoy the train better. We don't have such around here. :)

They also had a nice cameo plug in the recent movie the Bounty Hunter where much of it was filmed in AC.
Some of the best friends on the Supplier Side are those that walk up to their friends and neighbors either on set up day and/or during show day and say . . . . "we're making a White House run, can we get you something?"

You take a train out of the Philly airport to downtown Philly, buy another ticket for the New Jersey line, board that train in the Philly station, then it is a long lumbering MULTIPLE stops trip out to A.C. (the real end of the line!) The station empties (several doors) Right In to the Convention center (Very modern and beautiful)
Don't remember the cost, but the time was probably an hour and a half. On my return to Philly, I hitched a ride with another convention lecturer in his provided lime, and we got dropped at the Philly airport.
If you LIKE a long, 'multiple stop' ride with all your luggage on a commuter train, go for it.

What other "special" food is there in town. A few years ago we went to a nice seafood place a few blocks from the hotels. It was very crowded & loud & that doesn't appeal to me. I am open for other suggestions.

Enjoyed riding the trains in DC, so might as well do this one.

Believe it or not, I can't even take our New Jersey Train System to Atlantic City. I would have to take the train to Philly and then do what you guys are doing. AC doesn't have a main NJ Transit Stop. For such a tourist city you would think that a better train system would be in place.

Derek,
Being from NJ , you know that South bound trains end in Bayhead BECAUSE after that, all the coastal water gets in the way! that's why they had to route so far WEST to Trenton and Philly where there are actual populations who would ride trains, instead of just summer rentals, But South Jersey has always been all about Philly anyway. See you in AC ,
Best,
