Some company came out with a text promotion. I have a high end provider of this but I need a low end provider and somebody in our industry came out with it, but alas I can't find it.

A text promotion is one of two things:

1. Do you watch American idol, where they say text to vote?

My application is this. You are at a hockey game and they put on the jumbo tron. Text "hockey" to this number and the 100th person will win "x" and everyone else will receive a coupon for a free long island ice tea at McDonalds. It drives people into the place of business.

After they text the receive an automated response with a coupon for their long island ice tea.

Then the sponsor can if they want send those people text message specials. I wouldn't do this as you will get people real mad.

Thank you for the explanation, I just didn't think of text message promotions, I kept thinking of something like Jim's letter email blast!

I would also recommend MI Line or Magnatel. Also check with AffinityCloud Marketing.

Target Department Stores have started accepting Text Coupons now. It is a related item and I think we will see more of the "text ads" in the near future.

So I guess I am missing the boat again.

Besides never using an ATM, I have never texted. My cell phone is just that... a phone. No camera, no video, no texting, no applications, no email access... just a danged phone.

I have never tweeted & only joined Facebook to locate someone I met in Washington, DC. Don't ever get on there anymore.
