We have dealt with Kool Pak in the past and have received samples from them as well as placing orders. We sent out an email blast with their bags in it and got 4 customer inquires.
All the customers want to see samples, we called and asked what we had to do to get the samples and were told we could not get them.
They told me that I had to have a Fed Ex account and when I explained I did not that they could just bill me the shipping charges and I will pay by credit card they so NO.
They will not ship to Canada, I explained that I was a current customer and was told too bad that they changed the rules. When I asked what I was suppose to do as my customers want to see the bag.
I was told her manager would call me and guess what no call, no sample **** I am willing to pay for them, this company really does not know what customer service is.

They must have really changed. I have not ordered from them before, but other than this year (I didn't stop by their booth at the Expo), every time I had stopped by their booth I was always told to send in some art for free specs.
If you were asking for free samples that would be one, thing, but offering to pay for the samples and for shipping - they are going out of their way to not do business. If it were me, I would make another call to speak with a manager and, if no headway, find a suitable replacement. Just my 2ยข worth.

Oh well, onto the suppliers who want our business. There are still a BUNCH of them out there. :)

Customer service that is unbelievable. ASI suggested I send an email to the owner, which I did. He actually deleted the email without reading it.
Great company from the top to the bottom. He must have been busy doing up email blasts an average of 6 per week.:mad:

Seeing a notice that an email was deleted without reading is not always the case. That notice is sent depending on the way an email client is setup.

Don't disagree but the fact that he never contacted me says it was probably deleted.

That was my second thought but just looking at it from a purely technological view. I am surprised with the response of KoolPak. They were one of my go to suppliers but in the last year or two, they started slipping on my list. Not sure what happened with the company.

I just order a drawstring back pack from them. Had it in a few days . No charge. Maybe they don't want to send to Canada. Not to smart. Never had a problem. I don't know what item you requested, but bullet line has a drawstring bag that's 2.25 C. They will send out samples

I don't have a problem receiving samples from Kool Pak (except that the samples I receive, in many cases, are items which are not in stock in several colors and won't be for over a month).
What I do have a problem with is their poor communication, and no stock. I had an order for 750 bags in four colors. Order was not acknowledged for a week when I called to find out why. The reason? Order was placed "on hold" because Kool Pak was out of 2 of the 4 colors and had not a clue when they would be getting the stock. Had I not called (well, I would have eventually), when would I have known this?
So I reach my customer and he picks out three other colors to make up for the 2 not in stock. I am then told that another one of the original 4 is out of stock, as is one of the three new chosen colors!
Really ridiculous. After a point, I kept getting answering machines. I left several messages with the sales manager, none returned by phone.
Finally, all the stock is in (order placed a full month ago), and order was shipped in three increments (as stock came in, it was shipped). Today I find that the cost of shipping 400 bags was $56.00 more than the cost of shipping 300 bags (I know this will be corrected, but sheesh).
A couple of years ago, Kool Pak was terrible, and then last year, they seemed to make a complete turnaround. I called the sales manager to tell him so.
This year is very nearly a repeat of two years ago. My customer asked "have you ever done business with this company before?" and then yesterday asked "can I call them myself to tell them what I think?"
