I don't use my DC account to send many orders in because of the fear that that the orders will get lost. Yesterday, I was talking with CS for a supplier and she told me to use a different email than the one that is listed on DC.

Here is the question: How do we know that an email address is a good one for the supplier?

The suppler in the discussion is American Ad Bag and DC lists customerservice@adbag.com and I was told to use orders@adbag.com and then use art@adbag.com.

I want to do things efficiently and doing things with QuickBooks has proven to work for me but I have to enter everything manually there. I worry that an order is going to sit for hours or even days before it is picked up at an email address.

Alan,

I don't know what you are looking at but the orders for Ad Bag email address in DC is orders@adbag.com. They are getting a lot of orders through DC correctly.

If you look at the Contacts tab for Suppliers there are multiple email addresses setup for most suppliers for specific purposes. If you were at a point in DC where you could just shoot an email to ask a question then that email would have gone to customerservice@adbag.com

Over 12,000 Distributor companies sent orders to Suppliers in 2009. Our Suppliers are getting enough volume that most are maintaining their email addresses. In addition with DistributorCentral now serving the most Distributors of any service provider in the industry we receive feed back from Distributors on a daily basis of information that is incorrect. In most cases it gets corrected within minutes.

Thank you for your observation and use DistributorCentral with more confidence.

Tom,

You nailed it. I was indeed looking at the general info tab.

This was not a slam at DC but rather an inquiry into using it more as I am still not using the tool to its fullest (after many years of being a subscriber :o)

I have to sit down and watch some of the tutorials. I hate that! :)

By the way:

I sent you an email back in January. Did you get it?
