521 Promo is looking to hire an additional graphic artist. We would only need this person on a per job basis. You would be re-creating artwork for board games that a client has either drawn or sketched. We have an in house artist, but we have a lot of projects going on and would love to have an extra person to handle a job or two.

If you are interested please send portfolio and resume to 521promo@gmail.com

Thanks,
Kellene

We know an amazing lady named Mary, who owns her own graphic design/marketing firm. I forwarded your info to her. She is in Columbus, OH.
You can PM me if you need any other info.

Good luck!

I just forwarded your info to the lady that does my art. She is very reasonable and great at attention to detail.

Kelli -

FYI, I clicked on the linked you posted & Firefox has identified that as an "attack site." I'm not sure why that is the case, but I thought I'd let you as well as everyone else on here know that in case they're planning to click on it.

It appears that his website has been hijacked. I clicked on it and I was redirected to a virus scanning scam system. Does not look very professional to have a site that is hitting alerts for so many people.

You might want to let him know.

Not really sure what to tell you - the website works totally fine for me... so does emailing him directly for a quote if needed.

This is the link that you posted and has some people having issues with it. If it were only my machine then I would run a scan to be sure that I was not infected but since several unrelated people have pointed it out then there is a problem with this link, maybe not his site. However, we have nothing to gain by telling you that there is an issue, he has a lot to lose if it is truly an issue..

This is the site that I was redirected to. DO NOT CLICK IT! http://4safe.in/in.cgi?4¶meter=sf

Kellene,
Sorry your post has become more about a website issue of my graphics person than about your original post. Here is a note from Richard - I let him know there were some issues regarding his web page. I guess next time I will just post up the contact information. :) See his notes below. AND please understand that he is a very reliable graphics person for us and many others.

His comments:

Hi Kelli,
Thanks for the referral and letting me know about the website problem!

I had a problem sending some emails last week and came to find out that the server that hosts my website had become blocked as a possible spammer. This affected not only my website, but all website stored on that server. They fixed the problem the same day.

So I'm guessing that they visited my website during this period. I don't see any problems now.

Anyway, thanks again for letting me know and for trying to refer me!

You're the greatest!
Richard

Allan,

I think everyone hears your concerns loud and clear - 24 pt type has a way of doing that. They are attempting to resolve the issues and I think everything is going to be ok.

Jean,
Have you ever heard of 24HourArtwork? We have used them for several years and they are great. You can basically scan in a pencil sketch that's on a napkin and they will convert to vector for $13-$16. I sent over a very complicated piece of art that needed to be vectorized last week. My local graphics guy told me it would take him about 4 hours which = $400. 24HourArtwork came back with a quote of $36. I use them for everything artwork conversion related. You simply sign up online and pay with credit card. Very fast and easy.
