AUSTIN, TEXAS - PrintGlobe, Inc, the printing superstore and leading online retailer of business printing products and supplies, announced on its Facebook page that it has purchased the assets of Absorbent, Ink., an online seller of branded specialty corporate gifts. Absorbent, Ink. was originally founded in 2000 and earned the Inc. 500 designation, in 2007 and 2008.
As part of the transaction, PrintGlobe gains thousands of new customers, as well as a rich web content and e-commerce platform. According to PrintGlobe founder and President Dan Steinborn, the synergy of the two businesses will serve up growth for years to come.

The Absorbent, Ink. staff built an excellent web platform and provided first rate customer service, going back to 2000. Steinborn adds that the Absorbent Ink transaction marks the end of another growth year for PrintGlobe. "PrintGlobe notched its 8th year in a row of double digit growth. In a year when we had one of the worst quarters in our country's history and given the trend of brick and mortar printing businesses failing at a rapid pace, we feel more excited than ever that we are positioned to continue our growth and leadership in the business printing market."
Absorbent, Ink. President Lee Eldridge, who has also joined the PrintGlobe team, agrees PrintGlobe was best positioned to capitalize Absorbent's unique assets.

This story fails to mention Absorbent Ink was bankrupt. Happens to owe us a bunch of money too.
