Might be silly of me to ask, but how about using one of the font websites that gives a real nice big "preview" of the text you type, and auto tracing that in illustrator? I think this could get the job done....

Now why didn't I ever think of that? Chris, you are one smart cookie.

It is a little "rough" and not quite up to my normal "perfectionist" standards but if it is good enough for Chris and Isa I will "slap" myself and run with it.....Thanks...

I wouldn't like rough either, and would probably spend way too much time cleaning it up!

Kinda makes me wonder if what y'all are discussing is illegal.

RFG Line is a supplier, but is owned by distributor Gold Mark Promotions. Be aware.
Megafast is sneaky - be sure to read ALL the fine print. Cooper & Clement will screw you on shipping, and then might sell direct to your customer.

Hmmm so all those logos I send off for recreation could be being recreated illegally because the person tracing it doesn't have the original font on their system?

I'm calling for an audit of our designers font library. I better not be involved in a crime here. :D

Chris, there is a world of difference between worrying about a 3rd party having a proper license for a font & you providing, on a public forum, techniques to bypass a copyrighted font.

If you notice, Royce initially wanted a free font SIMILAR to a copyrighted font. You instead gave him instructions on how to break the law... on a public forum to boot. DT is a great place for advice... you just need to be able to separate the good advice from the bad. Today, you were a bad boy. :)

You're right... I think you hit the nail on the head. Chris Miller is the anti-christ. I am totally bummed about this recent discovery.

Lucky for me, Royce is a big boy and can make his own decisions. I certainly didn't see anything wrong with my suggestion when I posted it, or I wouldn't have posted. Apparently Isa is in the same boat.

Anyway.... I beg for forgiveness and all that. Going to leave the entire discussion in tact so others can learn from my sins.
