I know many of you have heard of Operation Gratitude, and might have even got involved in helping out. We sent in a bunch of stuff a couple years back after being turned onto it by Barbara Dail here on DT.

Anyway, I found this story today on CNN and thought you might enjoy it:

Thanx for posting this Chris - and as long as we are on the subject, we are still looking for donations - misprints, samples - anything you hvae hanging around we can put to good use.

This year we will ship our 500,000th package to our deployed troops - Operation Gratitude is totally dependent on donations and I am proud to say that our industry has supported it since it's inception.

Operation Gratitude is also run totally by volunteers - there are absolutely no salaries paid to anyone. Every penny go towards the shipping of the packages.

Thanx again,

Barbara,

Do you need quantities of things or will you take boxes of random items? I'm thinking of all the samples we have that end up at Goodwill or sometimes the trash bin. Would you send things like pens, notebooks, cups, key tags, etc??? How about random apparel?

Hi Erin

we can take anything that you have and put it to good use. If it's not something the troops can use, we can use it at our garage sale - the proceeds from that goies right into shipping the packages.

Thanx for asking..

Kym -

Be sure and go to the Operation Gratitude website - http://www.operationgratitude.com and sign your son up for a package. We are beginning to work on the Patriotic Drice packages.

And a big thank you for his service - you should be very proud!!
