Has anybody done this, or thought of sending a one minute video piece? Just thinking about experimenting with with some marginal clients and see what the reaction is.

Unfortunately you can't embed a video in email. The only things that can be embedded directly in an email are jpegs, gifs and text. Even then some people won't see the images in your email unless their email software is configured to automatically download the images.
The best way to handle this would be to post the video on your website or blog and email your clients a link to that web page.

I was thinking of more emailing a link to UTUBE where there would be the host of the video.

Derek,
Have you done anything with this, I have been curious about using video email as well.

Not yet, Cliff Quicksell gave me a company that does professial video email, but obviously there will be a cost.
Thanks for reminding me as it is something I want to look into.

There are plenty of suppliers in our industry who do this. I receive emails and links to their videos on Youtube.... It certainly won't hurt you if it is well thought out, informative, and conveys your brand effectively....IDEAGUY

I am trying this out with a Flip Video camera, puts the video to a website so it is easy to send the viewer clicks on the e-mail. Just started trying it, so no real results yet. The Flip Video cameras are great though.
