I wanted to share a fun story about a new distributor sales person. She joined AdLeap in March of this year after having just 9 months in the business.

This summer she had large bid project. It was a $50K order and the largest prospective single order she had ever been involved with. The customer was asking for a very common product but wanted extra customization than was available and we knew based on last year’s winning bid that the margin would very low. Nonetheless, she was excited at the prospect of almost $5500 commission from just one order and very simple order at that.

That’s when we put the project specs out to our network of overseas suppliers. Having spent quite a bit of time in Southeast Asia and Australasia, I’ve developed relationships with a number of global promotional products suppliers. Within 72 hours we had managed to source the same product, but fully customized per the customer’s original requested specifications. Not only was the customer thrilled, but the savings were substantial: that $5500 commission check turned into almost $13,000 – on a 50/50 split.

Before joining AdLeap, she was working on a 50/50 split with little support staff for her orders, no research software, and no preferred supplier network, and no direct global sourcing capabilities. She had been writing all of her orders by hand, sending them in and doing all of the follow-up.

Today she works virtually from her home in Oklahoma and stays in direct contact with our home-office in Ohio through our Online Virtual Office Portal & Customer Relationship Management Program. She has the industry’s finest continuing education materials and can now enter her orders online and can check daily for order status updates.
