I am trying to order an item from a supplier in New Jersy, but his imprinting person is ill and not working. I told him I would try to find a reputable person to take his work until his regular guy is back on his feet.

Any suggestions of folks near there who do GOOD work? This would be imprinting on leather and vinyl products.

Lisa I do not think it is quite that simple.......

A suppliers spends a lot of time and money testing to make sure that the imprinting method they are using works on each and every item they sell...A contract printer might get it right without much testing but I am more concerned if they do not....

Also, who picks up the cost of misprints?....A supplier that does imprinting in house will ship what you order and any mistakes are on his dime.....A Contract imprinter might not be willing to do this....

Best to find another supplier....

PS....Most suppliers know how to do everything needed in their operation...So why can the owner not imprint?....

Thanks for your quick reply, Royce....you have given me so many things to think about (I am still new at this business, but I find that you always give good advice on DC!)

Unfortunately, MDS is the only other supplier I can find for the product that the customer wants, and they were--well--a mess when I tried to talk to them.

Fortunately, my customer is not in a great hurry, and the issue may resolve itself since she is willing to wait.

I am loving this business!!
