More free artwork sites - I LOVE free.

You will see some repeats of the artwork across soe of the sites, but well worth checking each one out. There are pages and pages. Some sites have categories, others you just need to page through.

* * What would be cool is that if you found a really nice piece of art on one of these sites, please post back which site and which page, so others can find it too. * *

My disclaimer: every person using these is responsible for checking each site to determine any restrictions on using the files. I am also not responsible for problems, viruses, etc. Don't mean to be scary, just want to be clear.

http://vector4free.com/ - page 28 has a David Hasselhoff paper doll pattern! LOL

http://dezignus.com/category/vector/ - some AWESOME grunge artwork, world map, more contemporary

http://dryicons.com/ - wallpaper/page style vector artwork, you can take it apart if you need to. Some of these would be great for full color tumbler inserts, or wrap on a tumbler. Read the licensing restrictions.

http://coolvectors.com/ - some repeats here, no category search but worth paging through. You have to register to download.

http://www.vectorvalley.com/ - to download, click on the name, not the image

Remember, if people share WHICH of the artwork they found to be interesting on any of these sites, I'll post more sites.

You don't even have to have used the artwork, just point out some of your favorites that you think would be interesting to use in a project.

I have been working with some high schools that want "cool, new ideas" for t-shirts. They are tired of the same old screen printed shirts, so, we have been doing shirts more like you find at Hollister, Buckle, Aeropostale, etc. which have the burnout and discharge or chemical burn imprints.

I have had fun designing these shirts with all the swirls, scrolls, doodles, etc. that make them unique. Many of these free vector art designs will be awesome to use for these projects. Sometimes you just need a little inspiration from something you see and BAM the new idea comes to you.

My sublimation supplier furnished me with the following free art links. I haven't used them yet since so far all the sublimation we're doing is scanned photos and provided logos. Anyway - if anyone can make use of the art on these sites - go for it! I'd appreciate other's opinions.

Hi Lee,

Thank you for sharing those sites. While they are royalty-free, they aren't free images. One pays to download an image, and if you intend to use it for business you also then pay a royalty or commercial fee. But good to have nonetheless!

Some of the sites I listed have tattoo style artwork. Unfortunately you have to page through most of them to find it. A couple of the sites offer a search capability, but most don't. Hey, what does we expect for free?? :)
