Hope this helps get your creative juices flowing. I like the idea of not only being top of mind in the office, but also at home.
Have a great Memorial Day weekend. Keep in mind why we celebrate this weekend!

Work with the event organizer to get all of addresses and contact list for the event, and then mail them the pictures with a promotional frame (logoed with even logo).
Along with your mailing mail a little information on what you do, how easy it would be for them to pick up the phone and call you to help with their needs. (and maybe provide another promo item in the mailing and/or a coupon.
This way you can meet each of the players personally at the course and let them know that you will be mailing them their picture. They will be expecting it and therefore looking forward to opening your package / envelope.
Good Luck!

One idea for a golf tourney "save the date" item is TradeNet's Rounded Shape Memo Board (item #1105). We will co-advertise with the organization and they will hand deliver the memo boards to the golfers weeks before the event (face to face to get'em going). I think it's a great product that people will use before and long after the tournament. :)
