We are one of the sponsors of a golf tournament. I have given out items each year but this year I am struggling with what to give out. I think something for the desk would be better then a golf item... we like to keep the item around $2.00 "our cost". Which doesn't give us a huge list of items to choose from. I know most golfers have the usual golf item so I wanted to do something that the "golfer" would take back and put on his/her desk to remind them of us. I like coasters, note pad/page marker set or a high-lighter. But the others think it should be a golf item.

Any suggestions?
THANK YOU!!

I think you're on the right track. Most golfers will not be looking to add your "junk" to their bag. They have all they need...

I know this is out of your price point, but it is a neat item. Something to keep in mind for other golf tournament gifts.

I did these at a golf outing last year - the hand held pizza cutter from Molenaar- #1040. I had my logo and info, plus the line - We can help you with your Slice. It was a big hit. Use the one with the stainless steel blade. Was done last summer and people tell me all the time how much they love it. I ran a little contest on my hole as well. People had to try to chip into a hool-a-hoop from about 40 feet away. Had a drawing for a $50 Pizza Hut certificate for those that made it in. (didn't have to draw as only 1 out of 200 golfers got in the hoop). Working on ideas for this years event as well.

Hope this helps get your creative juices flowing. I like the idea of not only being top of mind in the office, but also at home.

Have a great Memorial Day weekend. Keep in mind why we celebrate this weekend!

Windmill press has a Golfer Score Book. Players can keep all the scores hole by hole, course by course. They can develop a handi- cap. I think they are a $1.00 a pieces.

This is one of my favorites from when I used to sponsor a couple golf tournaments. Bring a camera and take pictures of the foursomes at one of the holes.

Work with the event organizer to get all of addresses and contact list for the event, and then mail them the pictures with a promotional frame (logoed with even logo).

Along with your mailing mail a little information on what you do, how easy it would be for them to pick up the phone and call you to help with their needs. (and maybe provide another promo item in the mailing and/or a coupon.

This way you can meet each of the players personally at the course and let them know that you will be mailing them their picture. They will be expecting it and therefore looking forward to opening your package / envelope.

Good Luck!

Great ideas! I'm working on two different golf tournaments, now! I love the pizza cutters and the pictures - awesome!

One idea for a golf tourney "save the date" item is TradeNet's Rounded Shape Memo Board (item #1105). We will co-advertise with the organization and they will hand deliver the memo boards to the golfers weeks before the event (face to face to get'em going). I think it's a great product that people will use before and long after the tournament. :)

Several years ago, I built a clear plastic cube that seals in a golf ball to be used as a desk item, trade show item.

This may fit your needs. You can send in your imprinted golf balls or any other
novelty which fits into the cube. Price is around 50 cents, with a minimum purchase..

check it out at www.golfballcube.com

You might want to take a look at Zoogee - they have a few very neat golf items - the thing that I really like is their packaging - it is a plastic clam-shell that is designed to have a business card snapped into the back.
