This thread made me think of years ago in the firehouse when we had a guy that continually and consistently butchered the language. It was so funny that for several years I and a few others kept a log of his more choice utterances. His name was Filippi, so I gathered all the words and phrases and put them into a small flyer for posterity called "Filippi'ims". I've attached a pdf of the old flyer, designed to be printed on both sides and folded once. To this day, I still can't read it without splitting my sides.

As you read it, imagine a not-so-educated but lovable firefighter in the early 70's, close to retirement. He knows he can't "talk gud", but it never, ever stopped him. (Anyone familiar with the firehouse environment knows that there's little sympathy for shortcomings and everyone is vulnerable.)

I think you were supposed to use commas instead of multiple periods. ;)

Ryan, trust me on this one . . . the women are usually write right (correct) . . .One of my associates when helping me craft something a few years ago reminded me . . . . .it's ok to use multiple periods . . . . . . just make sure . . . to place a space in between them to make it more grammatically correct.

Thanks my story . . . .and I'm stickin' to it.
