Have you ever imported food stuffs from the USA?

What items did you bring into Canada and did you have any problems with customs or the food agencies?

We send Custom Chocolate from the Chocolate Inn to Canada almost daily,

We use Nafta and never have issues with customs.

The freight broker one chooses is what can create issues for shipments depending on what tactics they use to justify there cost.

Chocolate Inn is shipping our self promo popcorn today.....whooohooo! We are all excited to get this in the hands of potential clients!!

Arnie: I will let you know if they fill out the paperwork correctly, stating self promo not for resale and hopefully not reflagging customs by stating it is food! As we all know - its all in the wording!!

As Chris stated above, that is what my rep is saying as well. I have full confidence that they will do it right!

I will post when it arrives and let you know if we ran into problems.

PS We received a box of chocolate samples from Chocolate Inn with the catalogues that they sent to us. Due to the type of PPD we are, we were able to place that box at the Front Desk and allow clients to sample it - gone in about 3 days BUT it did create a buzz and we got two quotes from it. So far I am impressed with Chocolate Inn. Thanks Chris!
