Yes, well worth the effort. Just went to the one in Milwaukee last Friday. As always, 4 hours never enough time to view product, gather ideas and chat with friends.
I think it is one of the best, if not the best, traveling show.

It's the best traveling showcase. I find it so valuable, I went to St. Louis' NPS last week and will be at the Minneapolis NPS in a week and a half.

I too went to the one in Milwaukee. Had a great time and found many interesting products with great ideas. As Hank said not enough time. I feel it was well worth my time.

I read a thread concerning the NPS showcase on another forum. Everyone who attended had only praise for the show, the suppliers, and the attendance.

I just wish they'd add one show south of the Mason-Dixon line, say Little Rock, Dallas, or Jackson, MS.

I went to the one in Indy (Carmel) on Friday. Pretty good show. Mostly multi-line reps vs. someone from the supplier, but they can still give you good ideas.

I took my Dad (who has been out of the business for 5 years). He was in the business for 30 years, and it was amazing how many of the exhibitors he knew / remembered him. Like Don Tong. What would a trade show be without Don Tong? :)

Anyone pick up one of the flat flashlights from Bentcil? Very cool product, but man, do those things STINK! I let mine sit out in the open for 48 hours and it still stinks. I don't know if I could sell them just becasue of that.

Stink? Maybe give them a try by ordering another sample and see what you get. They usually send free samples and are really FAST (unlike most of the booths in Las Vegas that samples were ordered--- still waiting after 2 weeks. We faxed in a sample request last week to Bentcil and got it in 1 or 2 days. It just makes us wonder why we request a sample of a product at the Vegas show---Easier to make a note and come back and fax off a request).

I was also at the Milwaukee NPS and it was worth the short drive. I must say that it was pretty packed as well!

Haven't heard of these in Tulsa. Where would I find a schedule?

Jennifer,

Go to www.NewProductsShowcase.com

I believe the closest location will be Wichita, KS, coming up on February 25th, or Springfield, MO the next day (Thursday).

They already visited Kansas City on their first stop on Jan. 19th, but will return there September 25th.

Missed going to the one in Columbus, OH last week, due to major storm that hit.
Bummer. The NPS shows are my favorite, outside of our OPPA (Ohio Promo Products Assoc.) show.

GO!

Because they are small, you can spend time with the reps and also get through them quickly so you don't waste a full day. If you have good suppliers showcasing, then they can be very useful.

I went to the show curious to see if it was worth it. Lot's of exhibitors & known suppliers along with some reps that handled several suppliers. Was definitely worth it.

Besides, I got to meet Ryan there too!!

Just got back from it. Hands down . . . it's the best tabletop ever. I found one elusive product that's available domestically, found another product to couple with a company store best seller, and got catalogs from my preferred vendors.

Thanks to the suppliers for battling the treacherous conditions to be there at 9:00 when the show opened.
