Hi everyone,

As I move forward in life, and make DistributorTalk more of a business venture, I want to make sure I stay in touch with you on a more personal level. Will you join me on the social networks, and twitter?

If you're already on Twitter, please follow me and post your follow link so that I can follow you as well.

Twitter is easy to use, and is a real simple way to keep your friends and family up to date on one simple question: "What are you doing right now?"

http://help.twitter....g=kb.page&id=26

I am not such a big fan of the social networks... they tend to take a lot of time, but Twitter is a couple-minute-a-day deal. I hope you will join me there!

I hope to see some of my DT friends on there soon. Tomorrow I begin my new blogging project and look forward to more personal time with you all. DT is great, but it doesn't allow for the true personal communication that is most important.

I look forward to seeing you all on Twitter, and Facebook. Maybe we can get to know each other better. It might interest you to know that I am quite different than the person you may have met on DistributorTalk. ;) I am SUPER excited about my blog, and look forward to sharing with you all. I'll be sure to update via twitter when it goes live.

Hope to hear from you soon!!!

Regards,

I see some of my "older" friends following this post but not jumping on twitter.

Twitter rocks, and you will enjoy it. No learning curve, and it doesn't take any of your time. Just a second or two, now and again to update everyone on what you are doing. It's easier than sending an email, easier than posting on DT.

Will you join me?

If you embrace this, you're going to be in front of today's buyers online. Hope to see you there!

I understand... when beer and football is your only focus, a couple of clicks can really seem intimidating. No worries! :D

Please tell Chris what do you love about it? Personally I like sharing but
that site is just a waste.

The blog idea is much better and Iwill follow you on it.

Good Luck!

Barbara,

Twitter is all about saving time and keeping your friends up to date. It was originally built to be a thing for people who are close to each other but works great as a communication tool. I use it to keep my status up to date on all social networks by simply typing it into twitter.

It is a HUGE part of my distributorships marketing plan for 2009 ;) Buyers are ALL over it.

Here's an explanation of Twitter. Someone else sent it to me, and I think the method of explaining it is terrific.

Twitter in Plain English

The same group has other "XYZ in Plain English" explanations too, just search YouTube for them.

Question for you twitters (or is it twitterers??) I'm thinking about how to set up my account...do you have a separate account for your customers? I'm wondering how I follow my suppliers and have my customers follow me...I don't want my customers to see that I'm following my suppliers...well, you get the idea. How do you separate?

It's quick, it's easy, and its FREE! Why not give it a try!

While it is very difficult to measure the ROI on Social Marketing, no one can afford to get left behind.

Dude, I get all of you I can stand here on DT. :)

Seriously, I don't tweet or text or any of that other crap. Never even used an ATM. Guess it is time for me to be put out to pasture. While at ASI Chicago went our to dinner with 2 couples & one couple was texting & playing with their phones all the time. While flying back from Houston yesterday, seemed like everyone had their devices out. Me... I have a simple little phone. All it is is a phone. Go figure.

You seriously need to just get out of your son's way and go play with the horses. :D I am impressed with your new marketing efforts this year though. Making Dooley look like a modern company! :D
