As long as it takes to recoup my lost money in my IRA. I'm 64 y.o. so I figure I might be working until I'm about 95.

Now that being said. Anybody hiring part time where I can do some housework. I'll take minimum wage. Don't need medical insurance with Medicare coming up. But could use the extra couple of bucks every month.

Allan, Medicare doesn't cover it all. I have a supplement policy that takes over where Medicare stops and it costs me about 1500.00 per year in premiums.

Yep, I know about that supplemental. Still cheaper then the 1200.00 a month I'm paying now.

My goal is to retire on my 97th birthday, so I have another 41 years and 2 weeks to go. Until then, I'll keep working at learning all I can about the PP industry.

Our intent was to build the business over time so we had a nice client base before retirement...something we could do together. At that time we were both employed in the corporate world, at the top of our pay scales and all was well. You know what happens next! Our plans for retirement took another path, but this business is now very much a part of our lives and we plan to keep it going!

At the right stock markets doing, it looks like now it will be until I'm 105. And that's just so I'll have something to live on.

My parents started our company, and now my mom is semi-retired. I don't miss the corporate world that I left behind 19 years ago, to work here. Even though being self-employed has its challenges, no one can fire me except myself!

I love the relationships with clients that have been with you for 15 - 20 years. And those that are new, too.

It beats working for someone else. I'll take long hours vs. politics and other's family businesses anytime.
