I am looking for really creative functional ideas for a online gaming company. They want something for gamers that associates the item w/ identity, creating a new reality, determining your own destiny, fulfilling your dreams. They loved the people usb flash drives from Sweda but would like more options from all price ranges. I have thought on this one and am just coming up empty. They can't really do a custom item as time won't allow it so I am searching for something in stock.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Debbie -
We have a similar client who's demographics are young people -13-21 and we are doing the flash drives, and also dog tags.
Good luck

They don't have a price point yet. They want ideas on the low end to higher end. They just want the right item, the perfect item. :)

OK a slight change to what my client is looking for she wants something that the recipient of a giveaway can actually customize. I guess she wants them to be able to customize it w/ there own screen name or avatar etc. Thanks!

Hi Debbie,
Soundline can use Variable Data Printing (VDP) to merge art with a list of names (or IDs). Very interesting stuff. You can have them put the result on anything from a postcard or card to a CD. Ask for Joel, tell him 3Koi sent you.
As for custom USB drives, contact Direct Technologies. They can produce custom USB drives as few as 25 pieces, no mold charge, and they are made here in USA. We've not used them yet; their rep is planning to visit us this week. Call 704-660-4456, ask for Belinda, and tell her 3Koi from Maui sent you.

Thanks Isa. The issue is that my client doesn't know the names of who the items are being given to. They are going to be handed out at a tradeshow to try to push traffic to there company website so they want whoever receives this item to be able to customize it themselves.

How about if they rent an engraving machine and engrave your item at the booth? One of the pen companies does that at the Expo. Maybe you can arrange to rent the engraving machine for them, either from a rental supply or from a local shop - either trophy or a mall shop like Things Remembered. Or perhaps the trophy shop person can be there to run it.
On the spot customization is hard to imagine at a low cost...
Direct to garment - expensive
Laser engrave or etch or clothing etch - expensiive
One of the best on-the-spot personalized items is the Relkey. They could cut a key for the people on the spot, with a fully customized imprint on the key blanks. But that is an every-person item, not a winner item.

For a while, Accoutrements had a portable urinal for men with an apparatus to allow women to use it.
You'd have to outsource decorating.
I'm not sure if they're still stocking it. You'd have to call there and talk to their customer service department.

Is this online casino or different kinds of games entirely? Since it's online, how about something that would be kept close to the computer like a mousepad, magnet, or mug? Printed, of course, with the URL but also with Blackjack and video poker hints or with something else relevant to the games available.

What about those "smart buttons" that take you directly to the website. I don't know who makes them but I know they are available. I just received an e-mail recently from the supplier.
