Hi everyone - we're heading off for vacation - going sailing for a week. Just before the trip - i got a new toy and thought I'd have a little fun with the group. It's called SPOT - it's a GPS satellite messaging system. www.findmespot.com It's primary use is to alert search and rescue if you need help but it has a cool feature that lets you update your location (on google maps) and check in with friends - just to let them know you're Ok and where you are.

So you can see where we are by clicking this link - the link will be active when we head out later today.

So - here's the game. Whomever can guess where we'll be (and better yet - what we'll be doing) on Thursday July 24 at 5pm (EDT) wins a T-shirt from that place. The "first most correct" guess wins - so you can't just guess a State or region. All guesses must be in by Thurs at noon - Post your guess here.

How heavenly!!!!!!! What a terrific vacation. Now, if your are heading to Hatteras go over to Howard's Pub and tell them Jacque sent you.

hmmmm sounds like Hilton Head, SC..where the weather's heading, and where we will be at the Marriott in a week, hopefully.

Dave, a few years ago, my wife & I were in that area prior to vacationing on Cape Cod & loved it. We wanted to see the quieter part & chose to travel around Sakonnet. We spent some time at the Sakonnet Vineyards in Little Compton, loved the wine & actually still order it by the case today. There was a little roadside food stand down the road from the vineyard, heading toward the water, that had the most amazing little tarts, made with fresh corn & cheese. YUM!

My original guess was going to be Bar Harbor, Maine.
But I think that the tropical storm may have altered your plans a bit.

My new guess is Nantucket.

Maybe the next stop will be the Hamptons? His sailing vessel will fit right in there.

I do hope he comes to the Jersey Shore. My guess is he is going to every Light House along the coast.
