I hate to appear so ignorant but want to order some free message boards from Trade Net on Distributor Central site but don't know how to do it. Would someome be kind enough to tell me how to do it? :mad:

Royce: Yes I am registered with DC. I have never used order system (having used K&B online ordering) and as far as I know you have to order these message boards online with DC---that is where I am lost. Any help greatly appreciated! :)

Log in - go to orders - click on customer (use your address) choose Tradenet and do a search for Self Promo and all of the free self promos will come up then choose what you want.

I was lost as well. I did the order but what I wanted was their sample artwork with the promo products along the top and bottom of the memo boards and I could not figure out how to find that and just add my information. The lady at Tradenet was nice but a quick walk through on how to use their system would have been appreciated. I ended up cancelling the order.

Royce has offered to walk me through it as well and when I am not so swamped (hopefully in the next couple of weeks) I will take him up on it. Maybe Ill just call Arnie and bug him since he knows this too :)

I thought it was pretty easy myself. I got mine last year and thern ordered business card magnets w/ that same art! Looks great!

If you follow the directions I have posted the front art templates come up for you to choose which one you want.

Maybe I have a firewall on my computer because that is not what happened for me. I have a new computer now so I will try again....but Im calling you if I get stuck again! :)

Wimco123, your original post was two months ago - did it take this long for you to get help on the ordering process?

For any product on Distributor Central (self promo or not) I do it like this:

• Login to DC
  
• Click on Products, then search for XXX
  
• Click on ORDER NOW
  
• Enter a customer name, or enter yourself as the customer if it's a self promo item (you'll have to ADD customer if that customer is not already in your account).
  
• Follow the next steps, 1 page at a time: select quantities, sizes, colors, etc.
  
• Select a shipping option

You'll have to prep your art for Tradenet free goods, as you would any other product.

Nothing like waiting to the last minute but mine are in transit too....I sold close to 10,000 memo boards in the last while....They are one of my favourite items....

When will the self-promo items go on sale at Tradenet?

I have resolved this year to actually take advantage of the great offers if they are like they have been in years past.

TradeNet at this time will not be turning on FREE Self Promotion Products that are available to all in the industry. From time to time special offers will be available via our direct mail campaigns or email blasts. These offers will be limited to a certain number of first responders so pay attention to TradeNet marketing materials so that you can take advantage of these offers.

I hate EMAIL BLASTS that you speak of, Tom. I find them too overwhelming to deal with. That method of marketing has been misused and therefore has lost my support. Will you rethink the use of email blast?

Or maybe you want us suppliers to all drive to Denton & knock on your door whenever we have an offer for you? :)

Hey, I know you get lots of them, but they are still the best & cheapest way for us to reach an entire industry. I too get tons of emails, but I take the time to at least scan the subject line or the sender's address. Yes, it takes some time, but what else can I do... throw them all away like you distributors do?

So Allan how do you suggest a supplier contact folks and still be able to do it as economically as a email blast?....I can appreciate that email blasts have been over done but for many suppliers doing more traditional marketing comes with such a high cost they can not be profitable......
