Please share websites that you have discovered that have assisted you in your business. Whether they are sales training, art services, time management, office efficiencies, etc.

I hope everyone can share and give a little help to others in the DT community. I have to believe every one of our 8,000+ members are receiving some benefit from DT - so please just "pay it forward"....

We recently signed up with BOX.NET, a service that allows us to exchange our large artwork files without going through email or FTP. Some of our client's email has restrictive limits, and even some FTP sites have a file size limit smaller than some of our artwork.

BOX.NET is pretty reasonable and simple to use. We create a folder for the project, upload the artwork, and send an email 'invitation' to the recipient.
They go to the site and download the file(s).

They have a free trial offer; here's my referral link:

www.brandsoftheworld.com
Great place for vector logos which I learned about a couple of years ago, right here on DT.

www.sendoutcards.com
Awesome little service to allow you to send out full size, greeting cards in your own handwriting within seconds. They do all the work, I just type out what I want the card to say. This has helped me in many ways. Not just in business, but for personal use too.

SupplierCheck @ DT
Man what a service! :D Being on a mac, I have actually created a widget to quickly search for supplier contact info with 1 click. I haven't found a quicker way to pull up supplier info.

Volant
Awesome digitizing service. When I came into the industry I didnt want to touch embroidery or digitizing. These guys make it painless and with their pricing I can make easy money too.

24HourArtwork.com
Another awesome service that allows us to save time and make money while being superheros to our customers.

I find this site helpful. Even though it is not exact as computers screens vary it does work for the most part when I need to show a client a color range.

http://www.irodin.co...color_chart.htm

I find this helpful when I need to check out certain thread colors that my embroiderer uses. You can see what thread colors match pms colors for this particular brand of threads.

http://www.robison-a....com/color.html

I probably found both of these sites on DT. :)

I'm on this several times a week: www.whatthefont.com - upload a picture of a logo or type, and there's the font identified for you. Amazing.

If you're on a Mac, use
Apple+Ctrl+Shift+4
This will give you a cropping tool to snap a picture from your desktop.
I take snapshots of product all day long with this keyboard shortcut!

I use the apple+shift+4 all the time too, and I've even configured my PC to do the same trick - using ScreenHunter from http://www.wisdom-so...creenhunter.htm

You can use any key combination to invoke the cropping tool, and then save the resulting file as any format, with any naming scheme, or save it to the clipboard.

I do the same... even hacked my screenshots to go to a different location because I take so many. I use them here, in presentations, to print stuff, etc. Got about 400 in there right now... have to clean them out again soon.

When I do any computer work I go to
www.pandora.com

This web site lets you make your own radio stations to play the type of music you like, I then minimize it so I can work on the computer.

I am going to play some of that tomorrow. Today was Beatles, BeeGees, Contemporary Country... You really should try the site (www.pandora.com) because it becomes intuitive to what you may like or dislike. It's interesting and clever how it works. It's not what you may think it is...try it....IDEAGUY

A few years ago, I used to get that from Yahoo radio-
I tell it what I do and don't like as songs play, and it would continually adjust itself to play what I liked.

I am just using Napster lately, as we pay a monthly fee to download unlimited from there. And you can play anything, including "stations".
I did like Pandora last time I used it though!
