We did a stainless steel knife for one of our best customers at the end of September 2012.  The order was laser engraved.  The customer carried the pocket knife in his pocket since he got them.  Probably with his keys or change or both. 

The order shipped 9-26-12, on April 17, 2013, our salesman called on the customer and the imprint was no longer visible on the knife.

Now, most of these knives were given out as holiday gifts and he only had about a dozen left.  We sent the one he had been carrying and two others to the supplier to try to see what had happened.  The supplier said that there was "excessive" scratching on the knife and that is what wore the imprint off. 

Does this seem right?  The knife was laser engraved?  Shouldn't it last more than six and a half months?

I've seen them as "morph" bags - where they stuff into a shape (heart etc) -- not interested in those -- just the regular, straight forward version.  Avaline used to carry them, but they're out.  I thought I saw them advertised in an email recently, but lost track.  Chico bag is the retail version - they're in whole foods, etc. You may have seen them there.

Two color decoration on each side. Order placed on April 17th for an April 25th ship date. First they would not take my credit card because the amount of the order was too large so I faxed a copy of my check. They said they could deposit from the fax. Then they called and said since the check would take 3 days to clear the order would not ship on time. Then they called and said the order would ship on time. They called on the 25th and said the order was going out. They called on the 26th and said the order did not make it but would ship today the 26th. They called Monday and said the order was going today the 29th. They called Tuesday and ASSURED me the order was going on Tuesday the 30th.

THE ORDER HAD NOT EVEN BEEN PRINTED.....Then I called and got a supervisor who  said she went into the factory and ASSURED me the order was running and would be shipped Wednesday and still make my in hands date on th second of May.

Guess what.....Didn't happen.

Now I am talking to the in house sales manager who finally told me the truth..... Order was not started until Wednesday. Shipped 100 units out of 1000 that afternoon UPS Blue, shipped the balance yesterday UPS Red and needless to say I will never do business with this company again and urge you not to as well. They did offer a 25% credit but that was spent on air freight.......

 

There is not a problem that I cannot overcome in this or any business, but when I am lied to I cannot work with that.  I have never been lied to on an order like this by any supplier in my 17 years in this industry. How this company has an A+ ASI rating and an A rating from SAGE is beyond my comprehension.

 

I urge you not to business with Jetline...
