10 Companies Who Will Fix Up Your Bad Artwork Fast!

<a href="http://www.sellpromos.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=5087"= title="Name:
Views:
Size: ">Attachment 5087In an ideal world, every customer would send you camera ready artwork that you could pass right on to your supplier -- but how often does that really happen? If your company is anything like mine, the answer is “not often enough”. You’ve got to be accessible to your customers though, and that means you HAVE to offer artwork services. Don’t run out and hire a full time artist just yet though. The companies below will redraw your bad art for $10-$30 and most can do it within 24 hours.

I’ve compiled the list from various mentions on DistributorTalk over the years.

"Going Ecommerce"? Not so fast....

<a href="http://www.sellpromos.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=5086"= title="Name:
Views:
Size: ">Attachment 5086I see a lot of people using the word “ecommerce” or talking about being scared to “go ecommerce” so I wanted to write a little post on this, which I hope will help others.

Ecommerce is, by definition, the buying and selling of goods and services on the internet. I hate to be the bearer of bad news, because ecommerce is totally possible in other industries, but I think you’re dreaming if you expect that in the promotional products industry. You might find this easy with company stores, or in certain niche markets, but the average distributor is dealing with more than that — I know I am. I target

Be careful what you rank for!

Those who understand ranking on search engines, know that it’s important to get on the 1st or 2nd page of search engine results for a search term that they want to target, whether they spend money on PPC, or attempt to rank organically. What some do not understand is that attempting to rank for vague terms may do more harm than good.<a href="http://www.sellpromos.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=5085"= title="Name:
Views:
Size: ">Attachment 5085

Some distributors spend all of their time trying to rank for these supposed “high search terms” (ie: “promotional products”) without thinking about ROI. What good are these supposed “high search terms” when they create worthless traffic, and make your phone ring

Offset Printing on Stadium Cups

Offset printing is a method used primarily for multicolor imprints on larger quantity orders. The UV inks used are not as opaque as screen print inks, meaning the vast majority of jobs are printed on white cups. It is a fully automatic process where all imprint colors are printed on the cup in one, single pass… resulting in vibrant imprints with exact registration. The stacks of cups are loaded into the press, flame treated, imprinted up to 8 spot colors, UV cured, counted, stacked & packed… all in one operation. The bigger machines can run approximately 400 cupsper minute. Because of this speed & automation, cup pricing is drastically reduced in the larger quantities & the addition of extra imprint colors incurs minimal costs.<a href="http://www.sellpromos.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=5073"=

Screenprinting on Stadium Cups

There are two primary methods of imprinting stadium cups… screen print & offset print. Each method has its own advantages and disadvantages. Some suppliers might pad print cups but that is not the norm. Some suppliers also can apply a foil film and have the imprint thermally adhered to the cup. <a href="http://www.sellpromos.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=5069"= title="Name:
Screen printing is typically a manual process, where one cup is placed in the press by an operator, the press is activated, and upon completion of the printing, the operator removes the cup and the cycle continues. The operator places the printed cup on a conveyor belt and the cup runs through

Top Ten Reasons Why Promotional Product Distributors Fail

Promotional Products Distributors (PPD’s) don’t start out their business planning to fail. They just fail to plan! There are startling statistics of the number of PPD’s that don’t make it in this business. But, why is that? Following is my TOP TEN LIST to answer just that question:<a href="http://www.sellpromos.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=5062"= title="Name:

10. THEY DON’T SURROUND THEMSELVES WITH THE RIGHT KIND OF PEOPLE!
PPD’s traditionally start out in a spare bedroom of their home – ALONE! They understand the price codes and have some catalogs. So, they put out their shingle and are in business. Soon they have

Answer the *@#^ Phone!

It’s one of those standing pet peeves of most. We call a company to either give them business or are an existing customer and we can’t talk to a live human being. You are forced to trample through a series of button pushing prompts only to be dumped into voice mail. Or, you find yourself on eternal hold never having your question answered or your problem resolved.<a href="http://www.sellpromos.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=5061"= title="Name:

But, we as promotional product distributors can do so much better! How refreshing would it be for your customer’s phone call to be answered by the second ring by, yes, a LIVE person? And better yet, this LIVE person would be
