Well after exactly 5 years of selling promotional products, and ranting and raving on “the other site”, I figured it was time to start something new.
So here it is, the new site - SellPromos.com
You’re probably wondering what I plan to do with this site, right? What the heck is Chris up to this time? Well let me give you my ideas.
Over the past 5 years I have spent most of my time selling promotional products through my main company PromoPunch, and managing a site I started called DistributorTalk.com (aka, “the other site”) During that time I’ve been asked thousands of questions, and have consulted hundreds of suppliers and distributors both online, and in person. What i’ve found is that I actually enjoy interacting with others in this industry just as much, if not more than I enjoy selling promotional products. This site seemed like a natural next step.
What I hope to do is bring informative content, news, and other information that pertains to our industry and those within it. Expect product reviews, industry news, educational articles, and other stuff that will hopefully bring value to the industry, and your business. Rest assured, I am not the only one behind this site. ;)
Thanks for following. I look forward to the journey!

Chris:
You’re never going to make an honest living selling promotional trash & trinkets!
Get a real job!
There is an employment opportunity waiting for you in Illinois.
It’s a government position!
P.S. look presentable, wear a white shirt with tie and shave!
Have been a bit nervous to go ecommerce - am really interested in the knowledge and the rants. I can usually rant with the best of ‘em, but I think I’m out of my league!! ;)
I am far behind and half on a good day. I need to learn more and try to get things going better after 8 years in this business.
Thanks
Rick
Very cool….
I am always interested in the wisdom of the wise, and the experienced of the more experienced ones….
Will follow Chris for sure.
Hi Chris! I’m getting in here a couple of weeks later and I don’t usually do comments. But what you’re up to is something I need. I’m old enough to at least be your granddaddy. But I have sold PPs part time for many years. I like the business but not making sales calls. I enjoy working with loyal, established customers of which I presently have less than a handful. I have to get serious about making an income as my SS check is far from enough to live on. A light came on in my brain when I read your advice that marketing online should be our focus and not retailing. I hope to build a website shortly which will concentrate on my local market here in Montana. Thank you for sharing your expertise and I’ll be watching for more. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!
Chris
-This old dog is up to learning new tricks. With over 35 years under my belt Ithink I still have a few fresh brain cells remaining.
